Little Humans, Big Lessons™ overview
Module 1
Why parenting feels so hard (and what you were never taught)
Still wondering why it feels like you’re trying so hard, but nothing’s shifting?
Where you might be right now
Many parents arrive here feeling confused. You’re trying to stay calm, trying to follow the advice, trying to do the “right” things… and yet the same patterns keep repeating. The meltdowns, the power struggles, the guilt afterwards. It can feel like you’re putting in huge effort without a clear framework to understand what’s actually happening underneath.
What we work on
In this opening module we explore what transformational parenting really means and why so much mainstream advice leaves parents feeling more overwhelmed than supported. We look honestly at where you are now as a parent, where you want to be, and the gap between the two. From there, we begin mapping out a clearer path for the work we’ll do together.
The shift you’ll begin to experience
Many parents feel an immediate sense of relief during this week. You’ll start seeing your child’s behaviour and your own reactions through a completely different lens. Instead of feeling like you’re failing, you begin to understand what’s really going on.
Module 2
Inherited parenting patterns
Do you ever hear your own parent’s voice come out of your mouth… and immediately wish you could take it back?
Where you might be right now
Parenting has a way of revealing patterns we didn’t realise we carried. The tone that slips out when you’re stressed. The expectations that suddenly feel familiar. The reactions that appear before you’ve had time to think. Many parents begin noticing that parts of their own childhood quietly shape how they respond today.
What we work on
In this module we gently explore the parenting patterns you inherited. We look at the beliefs, emotional habits and responses that were modelled to you growing up, and how they can show up in your parenting now. From there, we begin separating what still feels aligned from what you’re ready to change.
The shift you’ll begin to experience
Instead of reacting automatically, you’ll start recognising those patterns as they arise. That awareness alone creates space. Space to pause, choose a different response, and start shaping a different emotional culture inside your home.
Module 3
Understanding attachment & relationship
Ever worry that one difficult moment might undo all the good you’re trying to do?
Where you might be right now
Many parents carry a quiet pressure to get everything right. Social media often paints a picture of perfect responses and endless patience, which can make everyday parenting moments feel like failures. When things feel messy, it’s easy to worry that you’re damaging the relationship with your child.
What we work on
This week we unpack what secure attachment actually means in real life. We explore how connection is built over time, how everyday interactions shape relationships, and why repair matters far more than perfection.
The shift you’ll begin to experience
The pressure to “get it right” begins to soften. Instead of fearing mistakes, you’ll understand how strong relationships are built through presence, repair and consistency.
Module 4
Feeling triggered? Let’s talk nervous systems
Do you sometimes know exactly how you want to respond… but your reaction still comes out faster than you intended?
Where you might be right now
You may understand the theory of calm parenting, yet certain behaviours still trigger strong reactions. The raised voice, the sharp response, the overwhelm that arrives before you’ve had time to think. Afterwards it can leave you feeling frustrated with yourself.
What we work on
In this module we explore how your nervous system works and how it interacts with your child’s. By understanding what happens in your body during stressful moments, you’ll begin recognising the patterns that lead to reactivity and learn how to support regulation for both you and your child.
The shift you’ll begin to experience
Instead of feeling hijacked by the moment, you’ll begin recognising the early signals of overwhelm. That awareness makes it easier to slow things down and respond with far more steadiness.
Module 5
Emotional intelligence starts with you
Do you want to raise emotionally aware children… even though you may not have been shown how yourself?
Where you might be right now
Many parents value emotional openness but didn’t grow up with clear examples of how to navigate emotions safely. You may want to support your child’s feelings but feel unsure how to do this without dismissing them, fixing them, or feeling overwhelmed by them yourself.
What we work on
This week we explore how emotional intelligence develops inside families. We look at how children learn emotional regulation through connection, how co-regulation works in practice, and how your own relationship with emotions shapes the environment your child grows up in.
The shift you’ll begin to experience
Conversations around emotions begin to feel more natural. Instead of trying to quickly manage feelings, you’ll feel more confident holding space for them and guiding your child through them.
Module 6
Anger, aggression, and big reactions
When emotions explode in your home, do you sometimes feel unsure whether to comfort, correct, or step in firmly?
Where you might be right now
Big reactions from children can feel intense and unsettling. Whether it’s shouting, hitting or overwhelming frustration, it can leave parents unsure how to respond in a way that both supports their child and maintains clear boundaries.
What we work on
In this module we explore what sits underneath anger and aggressive behaviour. We look at what these moments are communicating and how to respond in ways that guide behaviour while still protecting connection.
The shift you’ll begin to experience
Instead of feeling caught between being too soft or too strict, you’ll begin responding with more clarity and confidence.
Module 7
Boundaries & consequences that actually hold
Do you ever feel like you’re constantly negotiating, repeating yourself or raising your voice just to be heard?
Where you might be right now
Many parents feel stuck between wanting to stay calm and wanting their boundaries respected. Without clear guidance, limits can either become too flexible or enforced through frustration.
What we work on
In this module we explore how boundaries can be both firm and relational. We look at how to communicate expectations clearly, follow through consistently, and use consequences in ways that guide behaviour without creating shame or disconnection.
The shift you’ll begin to experience
Boundaries begin to feel steadier. Instead of escalating your tone or repeating instructions, you’ll feel more confident holding limits calmly and consistently.
Module 8
The power of play (even when you’re tired)
Do you sometimes feel like play is just another thing you’re meant to be good at?
Where you might be right now
For many parents, play can feel surprisingly difficult. Between work, responsibilities and exhaustion, it can begin to feel like something you should be doing rather than something that genuinely supports connection.
What we work on
In this final module we explore why play is such a powerful tool in the parent-child relationship. We look at how playful moments support connection, emotional processing and repair after difficult moments.
The shift you’ll begin to experience
Play begins to feel lighter and more natural. Instead of another demand on your energy, it becomes a simple way to reconnect with your child and soften the everyday pressures of family life.
